Our Work

File_001 (1).jpeg

In Moriviví, we've learned to adapt to the different circumstances we've had to face as our society faces new challenges. That is why we have developed different kinds of projects throughout our trajectory.

We started out in Urban Art Festivals, where we learned what a powerful medium murals are. In those spaces, we also identified a need to create community-sensitive and related work in the spaces we were participating in. As the world continues to be transformed by humans, we face new challenges and the need to evolve in our practice. These are the kinds of projects we've done so far:

  • Murals for the community: Murals in open public spaces that speak Puerto Rican narratives. We generally have the support and/or collaboration of local organizations or community leadership.

  • Murals with the community: Murals for the community where community members participate in the process. The scope of the community's participation varies from project to project, and who are we collaborating with.

  • Protest Art & Actions: Political murals, digital art, signs, and performance actions.

  • Community Arts Workshops: Part of the process behind creating murals for the community. During the pandemic, to produce community art, we adapted these workshops to online formats and produced digital art.

  • Art Workshops: We organize them with organizations and community leadership. They are an excellent way to make the experiences' art can bring us accessible. During the pandemic, we offered workshops on our social media platforms in Spanish only. You can find them on this website under the Projects tab.

  • Art as Therapy Workshops: Like the Art Workshops, we organize them with organizations and community leadership. They are an excellent way to reap the benefits and experiences art can provide. During the pandemic, we offered them on our social media platforms in Spanish Only. You can find them on this website under the Projects tab.

  • Commissioned Murals: Commissions are part of our self-mobilized funds. We take commissions that align with our core values. These funds help support our operational expenses and independent projects.
